Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder professional Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Their father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father came from a Jewish family. Ryder considers herself Jewish. There are two younger half siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was just seven, her family relocated from Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County California. They were in a home that had no electric power. Ryder began to be a passionate read because they had no television. At the age of twelve, Ryder joined the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. In the year she turned 15, Ryder had a chance to play in Lucas, her first major film. Ryder faced bullying during her high school. Ryder had hoped that her profession as an actress would help. But, unfortunately, that didn't come to pass. However, she continued to pursue her goals. In 1988 she had her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to play successful roles in many movies. In 1993 she received two nominations in the Academy Awards. One of them for her role in The Age of Innocence.
