Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived into a musical family, 9 August 1993, in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the daughter and cousin to the singing sensation Dionne. Her first singing gig was in a choir at the church she attended The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark when she was a child at the age of 15 was singing backing vocals professionally with her mother on Chaka Khans 1978 hit Im Every Woman. She then went on to join the backing vocals of Lou Rawls and Jermaine and even her mother. Her first gig was as a featured vocalist for the funk group from New York, Material in the year 1981. It was this high quality of her vocal work in the band that caught the attention of the major record labels, including Arista with whom she signed in 1983. This is where she stayed for the rest of her professional career. Her debut album Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and became the biggest-selling album of a debut artist. Tracks like the title track, The Most Beautiful Love of All, How Can I Tell If You Give Good Love or Saving all My Love were all released off the album. These songs enabled Houston to earn 7 US top tens, which surpassed even those of The Beatles. Album was sold out in US 3,000,000 copies, and later increased to 25 million worldwide. It gave her the first of her 6 Grammy Awards. Whitney 1987 Whitney 1987 release, featuring The album's tracks, such as Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as hits, helped build upon her success. The 1992 film The Bodyguard sealed her spot in the top 20 most-sellers of all-time. While the film wasn't highly appreciated and neither did her performance, the music of her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the top spot on both the albums and singles charts in the United States for a period of time. The album sold over 44 million copies. Her daughter Bobbi was born in March of 1993, a year after she wed Bobby Brown. At this point, her documented addiction to drugs began. By 1996, she used to use drugs every day.
Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz in the way she's commonly known as, is an American anchorwoman reporter, as well as CNN's political correspondent. Her previous work included NBC, CBS and other prestigious channels. She also produces some of CNN's weekends shows such as Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. When it comes to honours and awards Bash was once placed in Women in Washington Power List in Elle magazine. Bash is renowned for her remarkable anchoring skills and her reporting abilities are admired by young journalists. On a personal level, the graduate from George Washington University is a doting mother to her only son. The couple has had two marriages and is now single. Bash is an independent and confident woman.
