Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. She is the current president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California, grew up with an affluent background. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon before becoming the owner of the Lakers. In 1972, her parents separated up and she felt emotionally abandoned. In 1972, at age 19 she started working in the family business. Then she founded the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She was head of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice-president for the Lakers. Buss inherited Lakers ownership Lakers from her father in the year 2013. Her five siblings took over the franchise through an trust. She assumed the office of president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion that is based at Los Angeles.
